THE GOAL OF DUBUQUE COUNTY EARLY CHILDHOOD, INC. IS TO IMPROVE THE WELL-BEING AND QUALITY OF LIFE FOR YOUNG CHILDREN, AGES 0-5, AND THEIR FAMILIES, REDUCE BARRIERS TO COMMUNITY EFFORTS AND IMPROVE THE EFFICIENCY AND EFFECTIVENESS OF LOCAL EDUCATION, HEALTH AND HUMAN SERVICES PROGRAMS. THE ORGANIZATION IS FUNDED BY AN ALLOCATION OF STATE BLOCK GRANTS.CHILDCARE - ACTIVELY ASSISTING PROVIDERS IN CREATING ADDITIONAL INFANT AND CHILDCARE SLOTS AND WORKING TO IMPROVE THE QUALITY LEVEL OF THAT CARE. (CONTINUED ON SCHEDULE O)SCHOOL READY - ACTIVE IN WORKING WITH CHILDREN AGES 0-5 AND THEIR FAMILIES.
