THE MISSION OF DELTA AREA ECONOMIC OPPORTUNITY CORPORATION, A COMMUNITY ACTION AGENCY, IS TO PROVIDE APPROPRIATE PROGRAMS AND SERVICES THAT EMPOWER PEOPLE TO MAKE POSITIVE CHANGE IN THEIR COMMUNITY, FAMILY AND PERSONAL LIVES IN ORDER TO ACHIEVE AND MAINTAIN SELF-SUFFICIENCY.

Part 3 - Line 4a

EARLY CHILDHOOD DEVELOPMENT - PROVIDES EDUCATIONAL, NUTRITIONAL, HEALTH, SOCIAL AND SPECIAL SERVICES TO CHILDREN OF LOW-INCOME FAMILIES. APPROXIMATELY 1,596 CHILDREN SERVED.


WEATHERIZATION SERVICES PROVIDES SERVICES TO HELP LOW-INCOME PEOPLE IMPROVE RESIDENTIAL ENERGY EFFICIENCY. APPROXIMATELY 56 HOMES WERE WEATHERIZED. EMERGENCY SERVICES PROVIDES EMERGENCY SHELTER FOR UP TO 90 DAYS AND IS EQUIPPED WITH A BED SIZE FOR A MAXIMUM OF 13 OCCUPANTS. APPROXIMATELY 468 PEOPLE SERVED. HOUSING SERVICES PROVIDES RENTAL ASSISTANCE TO HELP LOW-INCOME FAMILIES AFFORD DECENT, SAFE, AND SANITARY RENTAL HOUSING. APPROXIMATELY 11 HOUSEHOLDS SERVED.


ENERGY ASSISTANCE PROVIDES UTILITY ASSISTANCE TO LOW-INCOME INDIVIDUALS TO ASSIST THEM WITH ENERGY BILLS, THIS COULD BE GAS, ELECTRIC, PROPANE, ETC. APPROXIMATELY 15,619 CLIENTS SERVED.


COMMUNITY SERVICES COMMUNITY SERVICES PROGRAMS STRIVE TO REDUCE POVERTY AND EMPOWER LOW-INCOME FAMILIES TO BECOME SELF-SUFFICIENT. APPROXIMATELY 2,496 CLIENTS SERVED.
