TRANSPORTATION:PACS TRANSPORTATION PROGRAM'S PRIMARY PURPOSE IS TO PROVIDE SAFE, RELIABLE, AND AFFORDABLE TRANSPORTATION OPTIONS TO THE RESIDENTS OF THE PENNYRILE REGION. TYPES OF TRANSPORTATION INCLUDE CITY TRANSIT ROUTES, MEDICAL COMMUTES, AND SERVICES FOR CITIZENS IN THE REGION. A TOTAL OF 158,806 TRIPS WERE PROVIDED DURING THE FISCAL YEAR.
LIHEAP:PACS LIHEAP (LOW-INCOME HOME ENERGY ASSISTANCE PROGRAM) PROGRAM'S PURPOSE IS TO ASSIST HOUSEHOLDS WITH THE COST OF HOME ENERGY. ASSISTANCE IS BASED ON FAMILY SIZE, DISPOSABLE INCOME, AND INDIVIDUAL CIRCUMSTANCES. THE NUMBER OF HOUSEHOLDS BENEFITTING FROM THIS PROGRAM WAS 16,500 DURING THE FISCAL YEAR.

OPERATIONS OF SENIOR CITIZENS CENTERS IN NINE COUNTIES ALONG WITH HOME DELIVERED MEALS, HOUSEKEEPING SERVICES, PERSONAL CARE SERVICES, CONGREGATE MEAL SERVICES, AND MEDICAL INSURANCE INFORMATION ASSISTANCE FOR THE ELDERLY ARE JUST SOME OF THE SERVICES AVAILABLE FOR PENNYRILE REGION SENIOR CITIZENS. AS PART OF THIS PROGRAM, 207,219 MEALS WERE SERVED.
