ENERGY PROGRAMS - THE ENERGY PROGRAMS ARE FUNDED WITH GRANTS AND CONTRACTS OBTAINED THROUGH THE OHIO DEPARTMENT OF DEVELOPMENT, OHIO PARTNERS FOR AFFORDABLE ENERGY, AND COLUMBIA GAS. THE PROGRAMS SERVE TO PROMOTE ENERGY EFFICIENCY IN THE SERVICE AREAS COVERED BY THE CORPORATION OF OHIO APPALACHIAN DEVELOPMENT MEMBER AGENCIES. SPECIFIC PROGRAMS INCLUDE THE HOME WEATHERIZATION ASSISTANCE PROGRAM, WARMCHOICE, TRAINING AND TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE, COAD CONSULTING, LEAD, HOUSING TRUST FUND, UTILITIES, AND THE UNIVERSAL SERVICE FUND.
COAD PATHWAYS HUB - THE PATHWAYS HUB PROJECT IS FUNDED BY TWO GRANTS: A POWER GRANT FROM APPALACHIAN REGIONAL COMMISSION AND A PATHWAYS HUB/INFANT MORTALITY GRANT FROM THE OHIO COMMISSION FOR MINORITY HEALTH. OVER THE COURSE OF 2023, THE HUB WILL CONTRACT WITH MANAGED CARE PLANS FOR FURTHER FUNDING. THE PROJECT WILL FUND THE OPERATION OF COMMUNITY HEALTH WORKERS ACROSS SOUTHEAST OHIO TARGETING PREGNANT WOMEN WITH THE AIM OF IMPROVING MATERNAL HEALTH AND INFANT MORTALITY RATES IN THE REGION.
SENIOR PROGRAMS - THE SENIOR PROGRAMS ARE FUNDED PRIMARILY WITH GRANTS OBTAINED THROUGH THE CORPORATION FOR NATIONAL AND COMMUNITY SERVICE AND ARE FOCUSED ON IMPROVING THE QUALITY OF LIFE FOR THE RURAL ELDERLY POPULATION. THESE PROGRAMS INCLUDE SENIOR COMPANION AND FOSTER GRANDPARENT.
EARLY CARE AND EDUCATION PROGRAMS - EARLY CARE AND EDUCATION PROGRAMS CONSIST PRIMARILY OF THE CHILD CARE RESOURCE AND REFERRAL PROGRAM FUNDED THROUGH GRANTS OBTAINED FROM THE OHIO DEPARTMENT OF JOB AND FAMILY SERVICES, STATE GRANTS, AND CONTRACT INCOME.
