CIVIC ENGAGEMENT:ATJ BUILD THE CAPACITY AND COLLECTIVE POWER OF OUR COMMUNITY.ATJ CREATES A TEXAS WHERE ALL PEOPLE FEEL BOLD IN THEIR BELONGING. CIVIC ENGAGEMENT SUCH AS VOTER EDUCATION, VOTER EMPOWERMENT, AND DIRECT VOTER CONTACT (MAILERS, TEXTBANKING, DIGITAL ADS, ETC.)MAJOR ACCOMPLISHMENTS INCLUDE THE NUMBER OF VOTERS CONTACTED, THE NUMBER OF VOTERS WHO WERE MORE INFORMED ABOUT THE ELECTION, AND THE NUMBER OF VOTERS WHO TURNED OUT TO VOTE.
POLICY ENGAGEMENT: COLLABORATING WITH DIVERSE GROUPS TO STRENGTHEN ADVOCACY EFFORTS AND RAISING PUBLIC AWARENESS ABOUT SPECIFIC ISSUES THOUGH MEDIA CAMPAIGNS, SOCIAL MEDIA, AND PUBLIC EVENTS. MEETING WITH LEGISLATORS AND THEIR STAFF TO DISCUSS POLICY ISSUES.
YOUTH LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT:RECRUIT AND TRAIN YOUNG ASIAN AMERICANS TO BECOME ORGANIZERS AND LEADERS WITHIN THEIR COMMUNITIES THROUGH A SUMMER EXPERIENTIAL FELLOWSHIP PROGRAM. THE FELLOWSHIP WAS CREATED TO FOSTER A PIPELINE OF YOUNG INDIVIDUALS WHO EDUCATE, INSPIRE, AND MOBILIZE WITHIN THE COMMUNITY. THE FELLOWSHIPS OFTEN FOCUS ON SELF-DRIVEN PROJECTS AND RESEARCH. AFTER FELLOWSHIP OPPORTUNITIES, FELLOWS GAIN TANGIBLE SKILLS AND LIFELONG CONNECTIONS
