JOLT INITIATIVE IS A NON-PROFIT ORGANIZATION THAT INCREASES THE CIVIC PARTICIPATION OF LATINOS IN TEXAS TO BUILD A STRONGER DEMOCRACY AND ENSURE THAT EVERYONE'S VOICE IS HEARD.

ORGANIZING- THE ORGANIZING PROGRAM BUILDS THE CAPACITY OF GRASSROOTS LEADERS, WHO ARE MAJORITY YOUNG AND FEMALE, TO DRIVE POLICY CHANGE IN THEIR COMMUNITIES AND MOBILIZE OTHERS TO ACTION. TO THAT END, JOLT INITIATIVE SUPPORTS ITS MEMBERS TO EXERCISE POWER THROUGH FOUR PROGRAMMATIC AREAS- ARTS AND CULTURE, NON-PARTISAN VOTER REGISTRATION, LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT, AND STUDENT AND COMMUNITY ORGANIZING. ISSUE ADVOCACY SUCH AS CLIMATE - BRINGS YOUNG PEOPLE OF COLOR TOGETHER IN THE NATION'S SECOND LARGEST ECONOMY TO PUSH TEXAS' MAJOR METRO AREAS AND UNIVERSITIES TO ADOPT GREEN ENERGY GOALS IN ALIGNMENT WITH THE ORIGINAL PARIS CLIMATE COMMITMENTS FOR THE UNITED STATES.
