Part 3 - Line 4a

THE POLICHIC ENGAGEMENT FUND IS IGNITING A MOVEMENT TO RESHAPE THE CIVIC LANDSCAPE OF TEXAS, EMPOWERING WOMEN TO TAKE THEIR RIGHTFUL PLACE IN DEMOCRACY. SINCE 2019, POLICHIC TEXAS HAS MADE OVER 2 MILLION CONNECTIONS ACROSS THE STATE, REACHING WOMEN IN EVERY CORNER OF TEXASFROM URBAN CENTERS TO REMOTE RURAL COMMUNITIES. THROUGH GRASSROOTS CIVIC ENGAGEMENT, WE HAVE SPARKED A WAVE OF INVOLVEMENT, TRAINING AND MOBILIZING THOUSANDS OF WOMEN, MANY OF THEM STEPPING INTO THE POLITICAL ARENA FOR THE VERY FIRST TIME. OUR MEMBERS REPRESENT A POWERFUL, DIVERSE COALITION: WOMEN OF COLOR, COLLEGE-AGED WOMEN (18-25), AND WOMEN FROM RURAL COMMUNITIES WHO ARE BREAKING BARRIERS AND BUILDING A STRONGER, MORE INCLUSIVE FUTURE FOR ALL. ONE WAY WE HAVE DONE THIS IS THROUGH EDUCATION.

IN ADDITION TO OUR GRASSROOTS EFFORTS, WE HAVE FURTHERED THIS MISSION THROUGH COMMUNITY EVENTS AND CIVIC LEADERSHIP TRAINING, EQUIPPING WOMEN WITH THE KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS TO LEAD AND ADVOCATE FOR CHANGE IN THEIR COMMUNITIES.

IN ADDITION TO OUR GRASSROOTS EFFORTS, WE HAVE FOSTERED COMMUNITY-BUILDING THROUGH LOCAL EVENTS AND CIVIC LEADERSHIP TRAINING, EQUIPPING WOMEN WITH THE TOOLS AND KNOWLEDGE TO LEAD. THROUGHOUT 2023, WE FOCUSED PARTICULARLY ON VOTING RIGHTS, EDUCATING COMMUNITY MEMBERS ABOUT THE IMPACT OF RECENT CHANGES TO TEXAS VOTING LAWS AND ENSURING THEY WERE INFORMED AND EMPOWERED TO MAKE THEIR VOICES HEARD IN THE DEMOCRATIC PROCESS.
