ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT - ASSISTED WITH SITE LOCATIONS, FUNDING, BUSINESS PLANNING AND PACKAGING FOR NEW AND EXPANDING BUSINESSES IN OUR COUNTY. COORDINATED WITH COUNTY WORKFORCE TEAMS TO EVALUATE COUNTY NEEDS FOR OPEN JOBS - INCLUDING RECRUITMENT, COMPANY AND JOB RETETNTION, HOUSING, DAY CARE NEEDS, ETC. CCEDC CONTINUES TO WORK ON GROWTH SINCE THE COVID-19 EMERGENCY, EDC TOTALLY FOCUSED ON BUSINESS AND EMPLOYEE RETENTION, AND FUNDING EFFORTS THROUGH SBDC, WEDC, FEDERAL AND STATE PROGRAMS.
COVID-19 CONNTINUES TO PLACE CLARK COUNTY EDC INTO AN EXTENSIVE COMMUNICATION NETWORK LEADSHIP ROLE AS THE HUB FOR HEALTH AND SAFETY AND SURVIVAL FUNDING SOURCING DURING THE PANDEMIC EMERGENCY. THE ORGANIZATION WAS COMMUNICATOR BETWEEN RESOURCES/ASSISTANCE OPPORTUNITIES - TO ALL BUSINESS, COMMUNITY, RESIDENTS, AND TOURISM. EXTENSIVE STAFF AND HOURS ALONG WITH ADDED EQUIPMENT WERE REQUIRED TO MANAGE THIS EFFORT.
CONTINUED TO ASSIST CITIZENS, COMMUNITIES AND COUNTY DEVELOPMENT NEEDS, ADVERTISING AND MARKETING CLARK COUNTY. THROUGH TOURISM, WE UNITED COMMUNITIES AND IMPROVED THE QUALITY OF LIFE. WE ADDED SPECIAL PROJECTS THAT COULD BE HELD DURING THE PANDEMIC. COVID-19 WAS A CRUCIAL TIME FOR CLARK COUNTY EDC TO KEEP VISTORS SAFE AND INFORMED ABOUT HEALTH AND SAFETY ISSUES.
