COMMUNITY ORGANIZING: SOC CONTINUED ITS COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT NEIGHBORHOOD STABILIZATION PROGRAM WORK MEETING OR EXCEEDING ALL OF ITS INCLUDING REACHING MORE THAN 2,250 DOORS, COORDINATING MORE THAN 13 CLEAN-UPS, SERVING MORE THAN 1135 UNDUPLICATED RESIDENTS, AND ABATING MORE THAN 117 NUISANCE PROPERTIES.


CIVIC ENGAGEMENT: SOC SUSTAINED ITS CIVIC ENGAGEMENT CAPACITY, CONTINUING ITS WORK IN THE POST-CENSUS, NON-PARTISAN ELECTION OUTREACH AND EDUCATION, AND YEAR-ROUND ENGAGEMENT. THE ACHIEVEMENTS OF THIS PROGRAM INCLUDE MORE THAN 25,000 OUTREACH ATTEMPTS, 17 ONLINE LIVE FORUMS, AND ENGAGING ALMOST 600 NEIGHBORS ONE-ON-ONE AT 13 IN-PERSON COMMUNITY EVENTS THAT SOC AND/OR PARTNERS HOSTED WITH MORE THAN 150 COLLABORATORS.


COVID-19: SOC FORMALIZED ITS COVID-19/PUBLIC HEALTH PROGRAMMING. SOC CONTINUED ITS EFFORTS TO SUSTAIN ITS INITIATIVE PROVIDING EDUCATIONAL INFORMATION, MATERIAL, AND PPE DISTRIBUTIONS TO THE COMMUNITY. SOC STAFF SUCCESSFULLY CANVASSED A TOTAL OF 2,586 DOORS AND RESOURCES INCLUDING CARE CALLS IF INCLEMENT WEATHER DID NOT PERMIT. SOC ATTENDED MORE THAN A DOZEN IN-PERSON COMMUNITY EVENTS THROUGHOUT THE GRANT PERIOD WITH AN ATTENDANCE OF MORE THAN 600 PEOPLE IN ATTENDANCE (THIS DOES NOT INCLUDE THE INDIVIDUALS THAT PARTICIPATED VIRTUALLY), AND WITH MORE THAN 100 COLLABORATORS. SOC STAFF DISTRIBUTED MORE THAN 3,000 UNITS OF PPE.
