STEWARDSHIP OF THE YAKIMA GREENWAY - THE FOUNDATION CONTINUES TO FULFILL ITS MISSION TO CONSERVE, ENHANCE AND MAINTAIN THE YAKIMA GREENWAY BY CARRYING OUT ONGOING REPAIRS AND MAINTENANCE TO THE SYSTEM OF PAVED PATHWAYS, PARKS, AND LAKES.
COMMUNITY EVENTS - ANNUAL EVENTS INCLUDE GAP2GAP, ROCK THE GAP, AND KIDS' FISH-IN. THESE EVENTS ARE ORGANIZED AND UNDERTAKEN BY THE FOUNDATION TO ENCOURAGE COMMUNITY ACCESS TO THE YAKIMA GREENWAY. THESE EVENTS SHOWCASE THE BEAUTY OF THE YAKIMA GREENWAY AND HARNESSES THE GOODWILL OF THE COMMUNITY TOWARDS THE FOUNDATION AND ITS MISSION. DURING THE YEAR THE FOUNDATION BENEFITED FROM THE HELP AND GENEROSITY OF OVER 1500 VOLUNTEERS WHO HELPED PUT ON THESE EVENTS.
