MENTAL HEALTH PROJECT: AICS PARTNERED WITH KAMILI ORGANIZATION AND THE KENYA ASSOCIATION FOR THE INTELLECTUALLY HANDICAPPED TO FORM A CONSORTIUM ADDRESSING MENTAL HEALTH AND JUSTICE NEEDS THROUGH THE MODEL HRB COMMUNITY LEVEL INTERVENTION FOR PERSONS WITH MENTAL DISABILITIES (PWMD). THE PROJECT AIMS TO ADVOCATE FOR PUBLIC FINANCING OF COMMUNITY-BASED MENTAL HEALTH SERVICES, PILOT REHABILITATION AND REINTEGRATION SERVICES FOR PWMD, AND STRENGTHEN ADVOCACY AMONG SERVICE PROVIDERS IN KENYA. IMPLEMENTED IN KAJIADO, MERU, AND NAIROBI COUNTIES, THE PROJECT ASPIRES TO EXPAND NATIONALLY AND BEYOND.
