ELMHILL, INC. IS A CHARITABLE AND EDUCATIONAL NON-PROFIT ORGANIZATION FOUNDED IN 1966 TO IMPROVE THE QUALITY OF LIFE FOR INDIVIDUALS IN NEED AND THEREBY SUPPORT COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT. ELMHILL, INC. IS GOVERNED BY A VOLUNTEER BOARD OF DIRECTORS AND LED BY AN EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR, PROGRAM DIRECTOR, AND A SKILLED STAFF OF SPECIAL EDUCATORS, TEACHERS AND INSTRUCTIONAL ASSISTANTS. ELMHILL, INC. OPERATES MAPLEHILL SCHOOL, WHICH SEEKS TO PROVIDE A SAFE, CARING, LAND-BASED EDUCATION WHERE RELATIONSHIPS INSPIRE LEARNING. THE SCHOOL IS LICENSED FOR 7-12TH GRADES AND SERVES UP TO 34 STUDENTS. STUDENTS ARE REFERRED TO MAPLEHILL SCHOOL FROM THEIR HOME SCHOOL DISTRICT TO RECEIVE SPECIAL EDUCATION SERVICES IN A SMALL SCHOOL SETTING. MAPLEHILL SCHOOL SERVES STUDENTS IN EITHER SMALL GROUPS OR INDIVIDUALIZED LEARNING ENVIRONMENTS. FOR FY21, THERE WERE 23 STUDENTS ENROLLED DURING THE SCHOOL YEAR AND 12 IN THE SUMMER PROGRAM.
