THE RANCH FAMILY IS COMMITTED TO STRENGTHENING CHARACTER BY MODELING CHRIST-CENTERED VALUES, TRANSFORMING HEARTS AND CHANGING LIVES BY LOVING, NURTURING AND SERVICING CHILDREN AND FAMILIES, WHILE PROVIDING SAFETY AND HOPE WITHIN A RESIDENTIAL SETTING.

WE ARE LICENSED BY THE NEW YORK STATE OFFICE OF CHILDREN AND FAMILY SERVICES TO PROVIDE AN ALTERNATIVE LIVING ARRANGEMENT FOR BOYS AND GIRLS. OUR RESIDENTIAL CARE FACILITY HOUSES CHILDREN WHO ARE TROUBLE, ABUSED, NEGLECTED OR COME FROM TROUBLED FAMILIES. WE PROVIDE A SAFE HAVEN IN NY FOR AT-RISK YOUNG PEOPLE AND HELP THEM RESTORE THEIR LIVES THROUGH A HOLISTIC APPROACH THAT FOCUSES ON MIND, BODY & SOUL. WE TRANSFORM HEARTS, STRENGTHEN CHARACTER BY MODELING CHRIST-CENTERED VALUES, CHANGE LIVES WHILE MAINTAINING CORE VALUES WHICH ARE CHRISTIAN BASED, PEOPLE ORIENTED AND WITH AN OBEDIENT SPIRIT. OUR PGRAM PROVIDES PRODUCTIVE ACTIVITIES, VOCATIONAL TRAINING, TEACHING RESIDENTS RESPONSIBILITY AND ACCOUNTABILITY TO PROVIDE INDIVIDUAL AND FAMILY COUNSELING WHICH HELPS REUNITE THE BOYS AND GIRLS WITH THEIR FAMILIES. SOME OF THE CHILDREN WE HAVE HELPED OVER THE YEARS HAVE LATER RETURNED TO THE RANCH TO MENTOR NEW BOYS AND GIRLS THAT HAVE BEEN PLACED WITH US. WE HAVE APPROXIMATELY 215 VOLUNTEERS WHO GIVE GENEROUSLY OF THEIR TIME TO ASSIST US IN OUR GREAT ACCOMPLISHMENTS.
THE RETREATS AT CENTER HILL LAKE IN TENNESSEE AND NORWICH LAKE IN MASSACHUSETTS HOST A VARIETY OF LARGE AND SMALL GROUPS AND INDIVIDUAL GUESTS YEAR-ROUND ON THE LAKEFRONT. THE MISSION OF THE RETREAT CENTERS IS TO PROVIDE A PLACE OF RENEWAL, REFRESHMENT AND RESTORATION IN A PEACEFUL, HOSPITABLE SETTING. THE RETREAT AT CENTER HILL LAKE IS A SETTING PRIMARILY FOR CHURCH ORGANIZATIONS WITH A WIDE VARIETY OF SIXTEEN CABINS OF VARYING SIZES AND AMENTIES THAT OCCUPY THE 139 ACRE CAMPUS, ALONG WITH A LODGE THAT HOSTS AN ADDITIONAL 26 GUEST ROOMS IN ACCORDANCE WITH TIMOTHY HILL BY-LAWS. THE RETREAT AT CETNER HILL LAKE IS ALSO USED AS A VOCATIONAL TRAINING GROUND FOR RESIDENTS FROM TIMOTHY HILL'S NEW YORK SITE. THERE IS TYPICALLY A CREW OF FOUR RESIDENTS WITH A STAFF MEMBER TRAVELING TO EITHER ONE OF TIMOTHY HILL'S RETREAT CENTERS EVERY SIX WEEKS FOR INTENSIVE WORKFORCE DEVELOPMENT TRAINING. THE ARMY CORPS OF ENGINEERS OVERSEES THE CAMPUS TO ENSURE FIDELITY WITH LOCAL ORDINANCES AND LEASES THE PROPERTY TO TIMOTHY HILL WITH THE REQUIREMENT THAT THE CAMPUS IS AVAILABLE TO THE COMMUNITY SERVICE OF PUBLIC CENTER HILL LAKE RECREATION. THE RETREAT AT NORWICH LAKE HAS A WIDE VARIETY OF EIGHT CABINS OR VARYING SIZES AND AMENITIES OCCUPYING THE ROUGHLY 90 ACRE CAMPUS, ALONG WITH A LODGE THAT HOSTS AN ADDITIONAL SIX GUEST SUITES. DURING THE MONTH OF JULY, THE RETREAT HOSTS FOUR WEEKS OF SUMMER CAMP AS WELL, ALL WITH THE GOAL OF TRANSFORMING LIVES THROUGH LOVE, WHICH THIS YEAR HOSTED APPROXIMATELY 200 YOUTH. WE PARTNER WITH SEVERAL LOCAL AGENCIES, INCLUDING LONG ISLAND YOUTH MENTORING & ANGEL TREE, TO ENSURE THAT ANY CHILD WHO WANTS TO ATTEND CAMP ISN'T STOPPED BY A FINANCIAL BARRIER. IN ADDITION, A WEEK-LONG "WILDERNESS TRIP" IS HOSTED ON SITE FOR THE PROGRAM RESIDENTS FROM OUR NEW YORK SITE "TO PROVIDE THE CHILDREN WITH VOCATIONAL TRAINING TO TEACH THEM RESPONSIBILITY AND RESPECT FOR THE DIGNITY OF LABOR". IN ACCORDANCE WITH TIMOTHY HILL BY-LAWS, THE RETREAT AT NORWICH LAKE IS ALSO USED AS A VOCATIONAL TRAINING GROUP FOR RESIDENTS FROM TIMOTHY HILL'S NEW YORK SITE. THERE IS TYPICALLY A CREW OF FOUR RESIDENTS WITH A STAFF MEMBER TRAVELING TO EITHER TIMOTHY HILL'S RETREAT CETNERS EVERY SIX WEEKS FOR INTENSIVE WORKFORCE DEVELOPMENT TRAINING SPECIFIC TO THAT SIRE IN THE HOSPITALITY INDUSTRY.
TIMOTHY HILL'S COMMUNITY IS CLOSELY LINKED TO OUR VOLUNTEER PROGRAM, WHICH BRINGS A VARIETY OF IN-KIND SERVICES TO TIMOTHY HILL CAMPUSES. VOLUNTEERS RANGE FROM INDIVIDUAL TO GROUPS AND INCLUDE APPROXIMATELY 150 VOLUNTEERS ON THE RANCH CAMPUS. TIMOTHY HILL RESIDENTS ALSO GO OUT INTO THE COMMUNITY ON A REGULAR BASIS TO INTEGRATE RELATIONALLY INTO THEIR BACKYARD BY ASSISTING A VARIETY OF CIVIC AND COMMUNITY ORGANIZATIONS, INCLUDING RIVERHEAD ROTARY. THESE ASSIGNMENTS ARE IN ACCORDANCE WITH TIMOTHY HILL BY-LAWS WHICH STATE "TO BE A GENERAL RESOURCE TO MEMBERS OF THE COMMUNITY IN NEED OF ASSISTANCE".
