SUMMER PROGRAM ACCOMPLISHMENTS: IN THE SUMMER OF 2022, LEADERSHIP INITIATIVES SUMMER YOUTH DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMS MOVED FROM AN ONLINE FORMAT BACK TO IN-PERSON PROGRAMS. STUDENTS AND STAFF WORKED TO PRODUCE TANGIBLE RESULTS WHICH BENEFITED THOSE IN FROM EACH PROGRAM. THE INTERNATIONAL LEADERSHIP & BUSINESS INTERNSHIP PROGRAM HOSTED 65 STUDENTS WHO WORKED IN TEAMS WITH BUSINESS OWNERS IN BAUCHI STATE, NIGERIA. THE NATIONAL SECURITY & INTELLIGENCE INTERNSHIP HOSTED 48 STUDENTS WHO MET WITH NATIONAL SECURITY EXPERTS TO LEARN ABOUT THE MOST MODERN AND IMPORTANT SECURITY MEASURES TAKEN WITHIN THE UNITED STATES. THE ADVANCED MEDICAL & PUBLIC HEALTH INTERNSHIP PARTICIPANTS LEARNED FROM DR. AISHA GARBA, WHO WORKS AS A DOCTOR IN NIGERIA THE ADVANCED MEDICAL NEUROSCIENCE INTERNSHIP STUDENTS WORKED WITH WORLD-RENOWNED NEUROSCIENCE EXPERT DR. JAMES GIORDANO THE ADVANCED LAW & TRIAL INTERNSHIP CONSISTED OF NINETY STUDENTS WHO ASSISTED LAWYER REBECCA BLOCH OF THE LAW OFFICE OF REBECCA BLOCH IN WRITING THE IRAA MOTION FOR AN INCARCERATED CLIENT WHO QUALIFIES FOR RELEASE UNDER THE SECOND LOOK AMENDMENT ACT OF 2019.
OUR INTERNATIONAL INTERNSHIP PROGRAM LAUNCHED IT'S FIRST POST COVID PROJECTS ALLOWING OVER 1200 STUDENTS FROM ACROSS THE COUNTRY, TO HOLD ONLINE INTERNSHIPS. FOR 2.5HRS PER WEEK STUDENTS WORKED TO CREATE ADVERTISEMENTS FOR BUSINESS IN BORNO STATE NIGERIA, STUDENTS PARTNERED WITH NAGARI MEDICAL CLINIC IN BAUCHI CITY TO CREATE MALARIA PREVENTION PLANS AND STUDENTS WORKED WITH LAW FIRMS ACORSS THE NATION OF NIGERIA TO TAKE TESTIMONIALS FROM WOMEN WHO HAD THEIR RIGHTS INFRINGED UPON. THESE STUDENTS OVER 100,000 HOURS OF COMMUNITY SERVICE DEDICATED TO HELPING PEOPLE ACROSS THE WORLD.
LEADERSHIP INITIATIVES COLLEGE ASSISTANCE BENEFITS PROGRAMS LAUNCHED TO ASSIST OVER 2000 STUDENTS ACROSS THE COUNTY RECEIVE SAT/ACT TRAINING, COLLEGE PROBABILITY MODELING, COLLEGE ADMISSIONS PANELS, ONE-ON-ONE COLLEGE APPLICATION ASSISTANCE FOR AT-NEED FAMILIES IN WASHINGTON DC, ILLINOIS, CALIFORNIA AND TEXAS AND ALL STUDENTS RECEIVE COLLEGE ESSAY REVIEW SERVICES. THESE HOURS WERE COORDINATED BY HUNDREDS OF VOLUNTEERS AND HELPED OUR STUDENT RECEIVE ACCEPTANCES FROM SOME OF THE TOP UNIVERSITIES ACROSS THE NATION LIKE HARVARD, GEORGETOWN AND UCLA.
