NEW LEADERS COUNCIL'S MISSION IS TO DEVELOP, CONNECT AND UPLIFT INCLUSIVE CROSS-SECTOR LEADERS WHO WILL TRANSFORM OUR COUNTRY THROUGH SOCIAL AND POLITICAL CHANGE ROOTED IN EQUITY.

-THE NEW LEADERS COUNCIL (NLC) IS THE PREMIER LEADERSHIP AND PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT, TRAINING, MENTORING, NETWORKING, AND CAREER AND POLITICAL ADVANCEMENT PROGRAM FOR YOUNG PROFESSIONALS. -IN 2022,THE FIRST-EVER NLC FELLOWS WORKBOOK, WRITTEN AND PRODUCED BY NLC ALUMNI, CREATED A FRAMEWORK FOR NLC'S CURRICULUM. WE TRAINED OVER 500 FELLOWS WHERE 78% IDENTIFIED AS BIPOC, 70% WERE WOMEN AND GENDER NON-CONFORMING, AND 40% IDENTIFIED AS LGBTQ+. NLC HEADQUARTERS ALSO INTRODUCED REGIONAL COORDINATORS TO OUR TEAM OF BACKBONE STAFF. THE NLC ALUMNI PARTNER WITH THE NLC HEADQUARTER PROGRAMS TEAM TO EXPAND CAPACITY THAT SUPPORTS THE NATIONAL NETWORK OF CHAPTERS AND VOLUNTEERS. AS A CONNECTING LINK BETWEEN CHAPTER VOLUNTEERS AND NLC HEADQUARTERS, EACH REGIONAL COORDINATOR USE THEIR EXPERTISE AS LONG-TIME NLC VOLUNTEERS TO EXECUTE A ROBUST SUPPORT MODEL THAT DIRECTLY EXPANDS CHAPTERS' CAPACITY. -NLC HEADQUARTERS CONDUCTED THE 2022 ALUMNI SURVEY TO BETTER UNDERSTAND HOW THE NLC MAKES AN INDIVIDUAL IMPACT FOR FELLOWS WHILE ALSO CREATING COLLECTIVE IMPACT THROUGH THE KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND RELATIONSHIPS THAT THE NLC OFFERS FELLOWS TO USE WITHIN THE CAUSES THEY LEAD.
