GFA'S PROGRAM ACCOMPLISHMENTS INCLUDE RECRUITING GRADUATES, DEVELOPING LEADERS, AND SUPPORTING COMMUNITY. RECRUITING GRADUATES: GFA RECRUITS RECENT GRADUATES FROM DIVERSE BACKGROUNDS TO HIGH-IMPACT ROLES IN GOVERNMENT FROM A NETWORK OF 175 COLLEGE AND RECRUITING PARTNERS. TO DATE, GFA HAS PARTNERED WITH 22 GOVERNMENT AGENCIES ACROSS 9 STATES AND WASHINGTON, DC AND ENGAGED MORE THAN 9,500 APPLICANTS THROUGH THE RECRUITMENT AND SELECTION PROCESS. GFA'S 33 CURRENT FELLOWS REPRESENT A DIVERSE COMMUNITY OF LEADERS --- 59% IDENTIFY AS BIPOC INDIVIDUALS, 61% AS WOMEN OR NON-BINARY PEOPLE, 24% AS A MEMBER OF THE LGBTQ+ COMMUNITY, AND 29% AS FIRST-GENERATION COLLEGE GRADUATES. GFA ALSO PROVIDES NEED-BASED RELOCATION FUNDING TO ENSURE THAT APPLICANTS CAN PARTICIPATE IN THE FELLOWSHIP WITHOUT FINANCIAL BURDEN.DEVELOPING LEADERS:GFA DEVELOPS FELLOWS' PUBLIC SECTOR LEADERSHIP POTENTIAL WITH TRAINING ON EFFECTIVE, INNOVATIVE APPROACHES TO GOVERNMENT SERVICE IN ORDER TO EQUIP FELLOWS WITH THE KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS TO ADD VALUE IN GOVERNMENT, ENGAGE WITH SYSTEMIC EQUITY ISSUES IN PUBLIC SYSTEMS, AND TACKLE OUR TOUGHEST PUBLIC CHALLENGES. OVER THE PAST YEAR GFA REDESIGNED OUR 2-YEAR TRAINING CURRICULUM AND BUILT NEW LEADERSHIP ASSESSMENTS TO BETTER ALIGN WITH OUR PUBLIC SECTOR LEADERSHIP COMPETENCIES. WE DELIVER THIS PROGRAMMING TO FELLOWS THROUGH A 10-DAY SUMMER INSTITUTE, VIRTUAL AND IN-PERSON QUARTERLY COHORT GATHERINGS, QUARTERLY FELLOW AND SUPERVISOR CHECK-INS, MONTHLY FELLOW ADVISORY BOARD SESSIONS, A MONTHLY LUNCH & LEARN WORKSHOP SERIES, PEER COACHING SESSIONS, 1:1 COACHING SESSIONS, MENTORSHIP, AND A FELLOW BUDDY PROGRAM. OUR PROGRAMMING SUPPORTS HIGH SATISFACTION FROM AGENCY PARTNERS; MANAGERS REPORT A 9.5/10 AVERAGE FELLOW SATISFACTION RATE ON SURVEYS AND 100% WOULD WORK WITH GFA AGAIN.SUPPORTING COMMUNITY: GFA SUPPORTS A DIVERSE COMMUNITY OF ALUMNI AND OTHER EXPERIENCED LEADERS TO ENGAGE WITH CURRENT FELLOWS AND ACROSS THE NETWORK TACKLE THE PROBLEMS THAT MATTER MOST THROUGH GOVERNMENT. GFA SUPPORTS 239 COMMUNITY MEMBERS TO BUILD THEIR PROFESSIONAL NETWORK, INSPIRE OTHERS TO ENTER SERVICE, ACCESS RESOURCES AROUND PUBLIC SECTOR LEADERSHIP, AND GROW IN THEIR PUBLIC SERVICE CAREERS. GFA CONDUCTS SEMI-ANNUAL CHECK-INS TO SUPPORT ALUMNI ADVANCEMENT INTO MORE SENIOR PUBLIC SECTOR ROLES, PROVIDES FUNDING FOR PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT, FACILITATES AFFINITY GROUPS, HOSTS COMMUNITY EVENTS, CONDUCTS VIRTUAL ENGAGEMENT THROUGH SOCIAL MEDIA AND OUR COMMUNITY HUB, AND PARTNERS WITH 7 PUBLIC POLICY MASTERS PROGRAMS TO OFFER SCHOLARSHIPS AND APPLICATION FEE WAIVERS. 85% OF ALUMNI ARE CONTINUING TO BUILD THEIR CAREERS IN THE PUBLIC SECTOR ROLES OR PURSUING ALIGNED GRADUATE EDUCATION. 86% OF OUR MOST RECENT GRADUATING COHORT WERE OFFERED ROLE PROMOTIONS OR EXTENSIONS.
