AT LEADERSHIP MARYLAND, WE HARNESS THAT STRENGTH BY BRINGING TOGETHER LOCAL LEADERS FROM ALL SECTORS, INDUSTRIES, AND GEOGRAPHIC REGIONS OF OUR STATE-PEOPLE WITH A PASSION FOR MAKING MARYLAND THE BEST PLACE TO WORK AND LIVE. DUE TO COVID, LEADERSHIP MARYLAND OFFERED A HYBRID PROGRAM WHERE FORTY-NINE LEADERS FROM PUBLIC, PRIVATE, EDUCATION AND NON-PROFIT SECTORS PARTICIPATED IN THE TWO-DAY PER MONTH, EIGHT MONTH CORE LEADERSHIP PROGRAM. VIRTUAL TOURS AND IN-PERSON NETWORKING EVENTS WERE OFFERED. OVER 150 MEMBERS WERE REACHED.
MARYLAND LEADERSHIP WORKSHOPS (MLW) PRESENTED FOUR SESSIONS OF A THREE-DAY SUMMER PROGRAM IN HOWARD, KENT, CHARLES, AND MONTGOMERY COUNTIES. EACH PROGRAM CONSISTED OF LEADERSHIP WORKSHOPS, SMALL GROUP COACHING, AND A CULMINATING GROUP PROJECT. TUITION WAS 300 PER STUDENT, WITH THE EXCEPTION OF THE KENT COUNTY PROGRAM WHICH WAS UNDERWRITTEN BY A GRANT SO THE TUITION WAS REDUCED TO 25. WE FUNDED ONE SCHOLARSHIP REQUEST FOR A STUDENT IN CHARLES COUNTY AT 150.00. DURING THE ACADEMIC YEAR MLW PROVIDED FOUR OUTREACH PROGRAMS TO STUDENTS IN KENT COUNTY, ALLEGANY COUNTY AND PRINCE GEORGE'S COUNTY IN MARYLAND AS WELL AS A SCHOOL IN HYANNIS, MA. TOTAL STUDENT PARTICIPATION IN 2021 TOTALED 207.
