FRESHWATER LIFE WORKED WITH YOSEMITE NATIONAL PARK AND THE US NATIONAL PARK SERVICE TO RESTORE HIGH ELEVATION (ABOVE 10,000 FT) ECOSYSTEMS, BY ERADICATING INVASIVE TROUT. THE RESTORATION OF THESE HISTORICALLY FISHLESS LAKES WILL RESTORE NUTRIENT CYCLING WITHIN THIS ENVIRONMENT. THREATENED AND AT-RISK SPECIES THAT ARE PROTECTED BY THIS INCLUDE THE YELLOW-LEGGED FROG, THE AMERICAN DIPPER, THE LITTLE BROWN BAT, AND THE ROSY FINCH.
