TO END THE FARMING OF BEARS FOR BILE IN VIETNAM AND CHINA, PROVIDE SANCTUARY FOR BEARS, END THE SUFFERING OF WILD ANIMALS IN CAPTIVITY, AND ENSURE HUMANE TREATMENT OF DOGS AND CATS.

BEAR BILE FARMING: WE RESCUED 14 BEAUTIFUL BEARS AND BROUGHT THEM HOME TO OUR VIETNAM SANCTUARY. WE BROKE GROUND ON OUR NEW SANCTUARY AT BACH MA NATIONAL PARK, WHICH WILL BE HOME TO THE COUNTRY'S VERY LAST BILE BEARS. THE RESCUE OF THESE BEARS - AROUND 300 - SIGNIFIES THE END OF BEAR BILE FARMING IN VIETNAM. OUR VETS PERFORMED 230 FULL-BODY HEALTH CHECKS UNDER ANESTHESIA AND 31 SURGERIES ON OUR RESCUED BEARS. 31 RESCUED BEARS TOOK THEIR FIRST STEPS ON GRASS AT OUR SANCTUARIES, SOME FOR THE FIRST TIME IN OVER 20 YEARS. IN VIETNAM, WE PROVIDED BEAR CARE TRAINING TO ZOOS, WILDLIFE RESCUE CENTERS AND GOVERNMENT VETERINARIANS. WE PROVIDED ONLINE VETERINARY WELFARE TRAINING TO THOUSANDS OF VETS AND VET ASSISTANTS IN CHINA WITH 56,000 PAGE VIEWS ON OUR CHINESE EDUCATIONAL PLATFORMS FROM SEP 2021 TO DEC 2022.
