PROGRAM ACTIVITES IN 2023: COMPLETED A THREE-YEAR STUDY CO-MORBIDITIES IN COLD-STUNNED SEA TURTLES ON THE WEST COAST, INCLUDING VETERINARY REVIEW OF MEDICAL DATA ON 53 COLD-STUNNED TURTLES (39 OLIVE RIDLEYS, 10 GREENS AND 4 LOGGERHEADS) STRANDING BETWEEN 2019 AND 2022, OF WHICH 25% SURVIVED. THE STUDY PROVIDED EVIDENCE OF COLD-STUNNING YEAR-ROUND, PEAKING IN LATE FALL TO WINTER. UPWELL'S WILDLIFE VETERINARIAN CREATED A NOVEL MENTATION SCORING SYSTEM TO CATEGORIZE ALERTNESS AND RESPONSIVENESS DURING INTAKE OF COLD-STUNNED TURTLES AND HELD A NECROPSY WORKSHOP TO PROVIDE CONTINUING EDUCATION TO WEST COAST STRANDING NETWORK PARTICIPANTS.
