COMMUNITY LIVING PROGRAM: THIS SERVICE PROMOTES INDEPENDENCE AND PERSONAL GROWTH THROUGH SELF-DETERMINATION WITH AN EMPHASIS ON INDIVIDUAL RIGHTS, PRIVACY AND SELF-ADVOCACY. SUPPORTS ARE INDIVIDUALLY TAILORED TO ASSIST IN LEARNING SOCIAL AND ADAPTIVE SKILLS RELATED TO LIVING IN THE COMMUNITY. THIS PROGRAM PROVIDES SPECIFIC LIVING SKILLS AND TRAINING TO OVER 35 ADULTS IN MARICOPA COUNTY AND 7 ADULTS IN YAVAPAI COUNTY. CHANDLER GILBERT ARC'S COMMUNITY LIVING PROGRAM IS VERY PROUD THAT 81% OF OUR MEMBERS HAVE LIVED IN OUR PROGRAM FOR OVER 10 YEARS, 35% HAVE LIVED IN OUR PROGRAM FOR 20 YEARS OR MORE AND 10% HAVE LIVED IN OUR PROGRAM FOR 30 YEARS OR MORE.
DAY TREATMENT AND TRAINING PROGRAM PROVIDES VARIED ACTIVITIES ENHANCED BY PRACTICAL LEARNING OPPORTUNITIES INCLUDING INDIVIDUAL TRAINING IN ACADEMIC, PERSONAL, SOCIAL, COMMUNITY LIVING AND RECREATIONAL SKILLS. THIS PROGRAM SERVED 77 ADULTS, 5 DAYS A WEEK, 8 HOURS A DAY.
EMPLOYMENT/VOCATIONAL SERVICES PROGRAM PROVIDES TRAINING IN SKILL DEVELOPMENT, JOB EXPLORATION, JOB TRAINING AND JOB PLACEMENT, THIS PROGRAM DEVELOPS EACH INDIVIDUAL'S SKILLS AND INDEPENDENCE SO THEY MAY WORK SUCCESSFULLY IN THE COMMUNITY.CHANDLER GILBERT ARC'S EMPLOYMENT PROGRAM CONTINUED PARTNERSHIPS WITH HARKINS THEATERS, ALBERTSONS, FRY'S, SAFEWAY AND MOD PIZZA TO PROVIDE COMMUNITY EMPLOYMENT (ESA OR ISE) TO 10 INDIVIDUALS; EMPLOYMENT PROGRAM ALSO CONTINUED ITS LAWN AND JANITORIAL SERVICES. CHANDLER/GILBERT ARC WAS ABLE TO ADD TRANSDEV AS A PARTNER FOR GSE SERVICES. THESE PARTNERSHIPS LED TO COMMUNITY EMPLOYMENT FOR AN ADDITIONAL 13 INDIVIDUALS SERVED IN THE PROGRAM.CHANDLER GILBERT ARC EMPLOYMENT PROGRAM HAS APPROXIMATELY 13% OF ITS MEMBERS WORKING OUT IN THE COMMUNITY WITH SUPPORT, ONCE A WEEK FOR AN HOUR FROM A JOB COACH (ESA-EMPLOYMENT SERVICE AIDE OR ISE-INDIVIDUAL SUPPORTED EMPLOYMENT). EMPLOYMENT PROGRAM HAS APPROXIMATELY 38% OF ITS MEMBERS WORKING IN THE COMMUNITY WITH JOB COACH SUPPORT THROUGHOUT THE INDIVIDUALS WORK SHIFT (GSE-GROUP SUPPORTIVE EMPLOYMENT). THE TOTAL PERCENTAGE OF INDIVIDUALS ENGAGED IN COMMUNITY EMPLOYMENT IS AT 51%.
