ADULT DAY TREATMENT PROGRAM - CIVITAN PROVIDES A STATE OF THE ART ADULT LIFE LEARNING PROGRAM FOR INDIVIDUALS 18+ YEARS AND OLDER WITH DEVELOPMENTAL DISABILITIES. OUR COMPREHENSIVE MENU OF SERVICES ARE DESIGNED TO ASSIST MEMBERS IN BUILDING CRITICAL INDEPENDENT LIVING SKILLS, EXPLORE NEW OPPORTUNITIES AND PURSUE THEIR INTERESTS AND PASSIONS IN ONE OR MORE CREATIVE MEDIUMS TO SUPPORT THEIR EDUCATIONAL "SPECIALS" INTEGRATED INTO THE DAILY ROTATIONS INCLUDE CULINARY AND NUTRITION INSTRUCTION, THE MINDSONG MUSIC LAB, VISUAL ARTS AND CREATIVE EXPRESSIONS, THEATRE ARTS, MOVEMENT AND PHYSICAL EDUCATION, AND MEDIA ARTS. DAY TREATMENT SERVICES ARE PROVIDED MONDAY THROUGH FRIDAY, 8AM - 4PM IN PHOENIX, MARICOPA AND WILLIAMS, AZ. CAMP CIVITAN - THE CIVITAN FOUNDATION'S LONGEST RUNNING, AND MOST BELOVED PROGRAM OFFERS 10 WEEK-LONG CAMP SESSIONS THROUGHOUT THE SUMMER, AND WEEKEND ADVENTURES ONCE A MONTH DURING THE REST OF THE YEAR. FOUNDED IN 1968, CAMP CIVITAN IS A 15-ACRE WHEELCHAIR ACCESSIBLE FACILITY FOR DEVELOPMENTALLY YOUNG AND OLD, A VARIETY OF LIFE-ENRICHING AND FUN EXPERIENCES THAT PROMOTE POSITIVE SELF-ESTEEM, TEAMWORK, SOCIALIZATION, AND A HEALTHY, ACTIVE LIFESTYLE.
