THE RISE CENTER'S HOUSING PROGRAM PROVIDED OR FOUND EMERGENCY SHELTER TO 86 FAMILIES LAST YEAR. THE RISE CENTER ALSO BUILT TINY HOMES ACROSS THE STREET FROM THE RISE CENTER WHICH PROVIDED HOUSING FOR 116 PEOPLE THROUGHOUT THE YEAR. THE RESIDENTS LIVING IN THE TINY HOMES WERE ALSO PROVIDED SECURITY PARKING AND PEER SUPPORT.


THE RISE CENTER'S LIFE LITERACY AND LEADERSHIP PROGRAMS ARE DESIGNED TO REACH EDUCATE PROVIDE MENTAL HEALTH AND SUBSTANCE ABUSE COUNSELING DEVELOP PATHS TO FINANCIAL FREEDOM FIND AND MAINTAIN EMPLOYMENT REPAIR SEVERED RELATIONSHIPS AND CHANGE THE FACE OF THE HOMELESS POPULATION AND THOSE AT RISK OF HOMELESSNESS IN PIERCE COUNTY.


THE RISE CENTER'S FEEDING PROGRAM PROVIDES SERVICES INDIVIDUALIZED AND TAILORED TO TACOMA'S BLACK INDIGENOUS AND PEOPLE OF COLOR BIPOC POPULATION THE FOOD BANK PRODUCES MEALS THAT ARE SAVORED BY TACOMA'S BIPOC COMMUNITY WITH ITS SPECIAL SEASONING AND CULTURALLY APPROPRIATE DISHES AND SNACKS. THE PROGRAM ALSO KEEPS FOOD AND SNACKS READILY AVAILABLE DAILY. ALSO EVERY DAY OF THE WEEK THE RISE CENTER'S FEEDING PROGRAM STAFF PREPARES BREAKFAST LUNCH AND DINNER FOR THOSE IN NEED.
