CHILD DEVELOPMENT - OFFERING A FULL RANGE OF CULTURALLY APPROPRIATE EARLY-CHILDHOOD EDUCATION PROGRAMS FOR LOW-INCOME FAMILIES, FROM EXPECTANT PARENTS TO THOSE WITH CHILDREN (BIRTH TO 5 YEARS OLD). SERVICES INCLUDE EARLY HEAD START AND PARENTCHILD+ HOME VISITING, AS WELL AS HEAD START PRESCHOOL, TO BUILD EARLY LITERACY AND SCHOOL READINESS. IN 2022, NEIGHBORHOOD HOUSE PROVIDED THE FOLLOWING SERVICES: - 507 CHILDREN AND THEIR FAMILIES WERE SERVED IN EARLY HEAD START, 141 IN PARENTCHILD+, AND 368 IN HEAD START, FOR A TOTAL OF 1,016 CHILDREN AND FAMILIES - 400 DEVELOPMENTAL DELAY SCREENINGS WERE CONDUCTED - 350 HOUSEHOLDS RECEIVED MATERNAL & CHILD HEALTH SERVICES
OPERATE AND MANAGE COMMUNITY FACILITIES, HOSTING AND PARTNERING WITH OTHER ORGANIZATIONS BRINGING ADDITIONAL SERVICES TO COMMUNITIES.
HOUSING STABILITY, FAMILY SUPPORT AND COMMUNITY HEALTH - PROVIDES SOCIAL AND HEALTH SERVICES TO LOW-INCOME INDIVIDUALS AND FAMILIES IN SEATTLE AND KING COUNTY. SERVICES INCLUDE CASE MANAGEMENT, FINANCIAL COACHING, CITIZENSHIP CLASSES AND APPLICATION ASSISTANCE, EMERGENCY ASSISTANCE SERVICES, HOMELESSNESS PREVENTION AND HOUSING STABILITY SERVICES, OUTREACH FOR SENIORS AND PEOPLE WITH DISABILITIES; LONG TERM MEDICAID, HEALTH HOME, MAC/TSOA, AND FCS CASE MANAGEMENT; FAMILY CAREGIVER SUPPORT; AND COMMUNITY HEALTH SERVICES SUCH AS HIV/HEPATITIS TESTING AND COUNSELING, SUBSTANCE USE PREVENTION, AND MENTAL HEALTH REFERRALS.
