SHANGRI-LA'S RESIDENTIAL TREATMENT HOMES (RTH) PROVIDE DAILY LIVING SUPPORTS TO INDIVIDUALS WITH CHRONIC MENTAL ILLNESS IN A GROUP HOME SETTING WITH 24-HOUR STAFFING. OUR NEIGHBORHOOD HOMES ARE AS UNIQUE AS THE INDIVIDUALS WHO LIVE IN THEM. WHETHER IT'S SHOPPING FOR GROCERIES, CELEBRATING BIRTHDAYS, OR FRIDAY NIGHT MOVIE NIGHT, WE WORK TO INVOLVE THE INDIVIDUALS WE SERVE IN EVERY PART OF HOME LIFE. THE GROUP HOME SETTING IS DESIGNED FOR INDIVIDUALS WITH INTELLECTUAL OR DEVELOPMENTAL DISABILITIES WHO NEED CONTINUOUS CARE AND SUPERVISION. HOUSING SUPPORT AND SERVICES FOR APPROXIMATELY 142 ADULTS WITH DEVELOPMENTAL DISABILITIES AND 34 ADULTS WITH CHRONIC MENTAL ILLNESS IN GROUP HOMES AND SUPPORTED LIVING ARRANGEMENTS IN SALEM, NEWPORT, TOLEDO, JEFFERSON, ALBANY, CORVALLIS, EUGENE AND FLORENCE, OREGON. SHANGRI-LA'S HOUSING ASSISTANCE PROGRAM (SHAP) PROVIDES PERMANENT, SUPPORTIVE HOUSING ASSISTANCE TO INDIVIDUALS AND FAMILIES WHO EXPERIENCE CHRONIC HOMELESSNESS. PARTICIPANTS MAY RECEIVE ASSISTANCE WITH RENT AND ARE REQUIRED TO PARTICIPATE IN CASE MANAGEMENT TO HELP INCREASE SKILLS, STABILITY, OVERALL WELLNESS, AND SELF-SUFFICIENCY. TRANSITIONAL LOW-INCOME HOUSING TO 87 TENANTS WHO ARE ELDERLY, DISABLED, VICTIMS OF DOMESTIC VIOLENCE OR WHO HAVE OTHER BARRIERS TO OBTAINING HOUSING.
EMPLOYMENT SERVICES: SHANGRI-LA'S EMPLOYMENT SERVICES PROGRAMS PROVIDE SKILL DEVELOPMENT, AND EMPLOYMENT SUPPORTS TO INDIVIDUALS WITH INTELLECTUAL, DEVELOPMENTAL, OR OTHER DOCUMENTED DISABILITIES. SHANGRI-LA'S SUPPORT SPECIALISTS AND JOB COACHES WORK TO MAINTAIN POSITIVE, SAFE, AND LEARNING-BASED WORK ENVIRONMENTS WHERE INDIVIDUALS CAN BE PROUD OF THEIR WORK AND FEEL VALUED AS CONTRIBUTING MEMBERS OF THEIR COMMUNITY. EMPLOYMENT PATH PROGRAMS PROVIDE PAID AND UNPAID TRAINING OPPORTUNITIES THAT HELP DEVELOP CAREER TECHNICAL AND SOFT SKILLS. THE COMMUNITY EMPLOYMENT SERVICES PROGRAM PROVIDES CAREER EXPLORATION, SKILL ASSESSMENTS, HELP WITH IDENTIFYING CAREER PATHWAYS, SUPPORTING IN OBTAINING A JOB, AND ONGOING SUPPORTS TO HELP KEEP A JOB. EMPLOYMENT TRAINING AND ALTERNATIVES-TO-EMPLOYMENT SUPPORT SERVICES FOR APPROXIMATELY 110 SEVERELY DISABLED ADULTS IN SMALL BUSINESS SETTINGS AND SUPPORTED WORK ENVIRONMENTS IN SALEM, NEWPORT AND FLORENCE, OREGON. (COAST CLOSED IN DECEMBER). SHANGRI-LA'S YOUTH AND FAMILY SERVICES WORKS WITH PARENTS RECEIVING TEMPORARY ASSISTANCE FOR NEEDY FAMILIES (TANF) ENROLLED IN THE DHS JOBS OPPORTUNITY AND BASIC SKILLS (JOBS) PROGRAM. SUPPORTS ARE AIMED HELPING PARENTS OVERCOME BARRIERS TO EMPLOYMENT AND ACHIEVE GREATER SELF-SUFFICIENCY WHO ARE REFERRED TO OUR SERVICES THROUGH DEPARTMENT OF HUMAN SERVICES. SHANGRI-LA PROVIDED VARYING DEGREES OF SERVICE TO APPROXIMATELY 520 TANF RECIPIENTS IN THE FISCAL YEAR TO HELP THEM TOWARD EMPLOYMENT AND SELF-SUFFICIENCY.
CLINICAL SERVICES: SHANGRI-LA'S OUTPATIENT MENTAL HEALTH CLINICS OFFER MENTAL HEALTH ASSESSMENTS, TREATMENT PLANNING AND COUNSELING FOR INDIVIDUALS, COUPLES AND FAMILIES. SERVICES ARE OFFERED IN OFFICE OR COMMUNITY SETTINGS AND THROUGH TELEMEDICINE. SHANGRI-LA'S OUTPATIENT MENTAL HEALTH CLINIC OFFERS MENTAL HEALTH SERVICES ON A SLIDING FEE SCALE BASED ON FAMILY SIZE AND INCOME. NO ONE IS TURNED AWAY DUE TO THEIR INABILITY TO PAY.
