(A GEORGIA NONPROFIT CORPORATION) WAS FORMED AS THE GOVERNING BODY RESPONSIBLE FOR PLANNING, ENGINEERING, DEVELOPMENT, PROGRAMMING AND OPERATION OF A COMPREHENSIVE TRANSFORMATIVE GREENSPACE AND TRANSPORTATION SOLUTION FOR THE SOUTHEAST'S MOST DENSELY POPULATED AND DIVERSE REGION: MIDTOWN ATLANTA.

SPANNING OVER THE I-75/85 "CONNECTOR" EXTENDING FROM NORTH AVENUE TO 10TH STREET, THE PROJECT WOULD CREATE A WORLD CLASS RECREATIONAL, ENTERTAINMENT AND SELF-SUSTAINING DESTINATION; WHILE "STITCHING" BACK TOGETHER MIDTOWN ATLANTA BETWEEN THE CENTRAL CAMPUS OF GEORGIA TECH TO THE WEST AND TECH SQUARE AND ADJACENT MIDTOWN NEIGHBORHOODS TO THE EAST. THE PROJECT WOULD, MOST IMPORTANTLY, CREATE PUBLIC GREENSPACE IN AN AREA SEVERELY IN A GREENSPACE "DEFICIT," AS WELL AS PROVIDE A TRANSPORTATION SOLUTION AROUND ONE OF THE MOST CONGESTED AND OUTDATED TRANSPORTATION SCENARIOS IN THE STATE. THE FOUNDATION SERVES AS THE PRIMARY NON-PROFIT RESPONSIBLE FOR ALL ACTIVITIES AND EFFORTS ASSOCIATED WITH THE PROJECT.
