LOW-INCOME RATE ASSISTANCE PROGRAM: IN 2021, THIS PROGRAM ENGAGED COMMUNITY RESIDENTS TO LOBBY FOR PASSAGE OF SB 222. LOW-INCOME WATER RATE ASSISTANCE SB 222 WOULD HAVE PROVIDED DIRECT CREDITS TO WATER BILLS TO LOW-INCOME CUSTOMERS TO MAKE WATER RATES AFFORDABLE. THIS BILL WAS VETOED BY GOVERNOR NEWSOM.
