MAINTAINED COMMUNITY EVENT DONATION PROCEDURES AND PROCESSES TO BETTER SUPPORT OTHER NON-PROFIT ORGANIZATIONS WITH SIMILAR GOALS AS APAPA.
THE CAPITOL INTERNSHIP/SCHOLARSHIP FUNDRAISING AND INSTALLATION PROGRAM AWARDED LOCAL GOVERNMENT INTERNSHIPS AND SCHOLARSHIPS TO ENCOURAGE FUTURE LEADERS SERVING THE API COMMUNITY. UNDERGRADUATE COLLEGE STUDENTS AND ABOVE WERE ELIGIBLE TO APPLY FOR THE SCHOLARSHIPS.
THE VOTERS EDUCATION AND CANDIDATE FORUM WAS HELD IN SEPTEMBER. THE PURPOSE OF THIS EVENT WAS TO ENCOURAGE, EDUCATE, AND INCREASE API PARTICIPATION IN THE PUBLIC AFFAIRS PROCESS. THE FORUM WAS ATTENDED BY AN ESTIMATED 500 PEOPLE. THE FORUM INCLUDED DISCUSSION WITH CANDIDATES ON ISSUES IMPACTING ASIANS, PACIFIC ISLANDERS, AND THE GENERAL PUBLIC.
