CIVIC ENGAGEMENT: THROUGH ITS CIVIC ENGAGEMENT PROGRAM, ALLIANCE IS EDUCATING COMMUNITY MEMBERS ABOUT HOW TO PARTICIPATE IN OUR DEMOCRACY SUCH IS THROUGH VOTING. ALLIANCE IS ALSO DEVELOPING THEIR SKILLS AS LEADERS AND ENGAGING THEM ON ISSUES THAT IMPACT OUR COMMUNITIES, PREPARING THEM TO SPEAK TO POLICYMAKERS, TO THE MEDIA, AND TO THEIR NEIGHBORS.
HUMAN RIGHTS: THROUGH ITS HUMAN RIGHTS PROGRAM, ALLIANCE IS ASSISTING IMMIGRANTS TO INTEGRATE THROUGH SUCH ACTIVITIES AS KNOWYOUR-RIGHTS SESSIONS AND CITIZENSHIP APPLICATION ASSISTANCE WORKSHOPS TO HELP THEM BECOME FULL PARTICIPANTS IN OUR DEMOCRACY.
