RESEARCH:VOTE SMART DEVOTES CONSIDERABLE EFFORT COLLECTING AND KEEPING FACTUAL RECORDS ON ALL ELECTED OFFICIALS AND CANDIDATES FOR PRESIDENTIAL, CONGRESSIONAL, GUBERNATORIAL AND STATE LEGISLATIVE OFFICE, AND ISSUES. THIS INCLUDES VOTING RECORDS, PUBLIC COMMENTS, INTEREST GROUP RATINGS, BIOGRAPHICAL AND CONTACT INFORMATION, CAMPAIGN FINANCES AND ISSUE POSITIONS. VOTERS, CITIZENS, SCHOOLS AND JOURNALISTS THUS HAVE ACCESS TO UNBIASED INFORMATION ON CANDIDATES AS WELL AS THOSE SERVING IN ELECTED POSITIONS. THIS RESEARCH IS DONE BY HUNDREDS OF FULL-TIME INTERNS AND MULTIGENERATIONAL VOLUNTEERS WHICH ARE MANAGED BY OUR YOUNG, COMMITTED STAFF.
