THE MISSION OF JOINING HANDS VISITATION (JHV) IS TO HELP REUNITE FOSTER CARE CHILDREN WITH THEIR NON-CUSTODIAL PARENTS AND TO PROVIDE SUPPORT FOR THEIR INDEPENDENCE, BUILDING STRONGER FAMILY TIES AND BETTER FUTURES ONE CHILD AT A TIME. WE FOCUS ON BUILDING A STRONG NETWORK WITH COMMUNITY ORGANIZATIONS AND SOCIAL WELFARE AGENCIES THAT EMPOWER FOSTER CARE CHILDREN AND THEIR FAMILIES IN BECOMING INDEPENDENT AND SELF SUFFICIENT. JHV IS A STATE CONTRACTED PROVIDER FOR SUPERVISED VISITATION AND TRANSPORTATION IN GRAYS HARBOR, MASON, THURSTON, PACIFIC COUNTIES AND IN THE PAST YEAR EXPANDED TO PIERCE, OLYMPIC PENINSULA, AND LOWER KING COUNTIES AS WELL.

ONCE RISKS DECLINED WE RESORTED TO THE ORIGINAL FORM OF SUPERVISED VISITATION BUT CURRENTLY WE PROVIDE NOT ONLY IN PERSON BUT VIRTUAL VISITS AS WELL FOR THOSE UNABLE TO ATTEND IN PERSON VISITS.
DUE TO THE ONSET OF COVID-19, THE AGENCY EXPANDED INTO THE FIELD OF PRIVATE PAY SUPERVISED VISITATION AND SUPERVISED EXCHANGES FOR FAMILIES INVOLVED WITH FAMILY LAW COURT DUE TO DIVORCE, SEPARATION, OR ABUSE AND NEGLECT DUE TO THE LACK OF AVAILABILITY OF RESOURCES FOR PROVIDING SUCH SERVICES.
