THE HUNGER PREVENTION COALITION'S MAIN PROGRAM IS HELP FILL EMPTY PLATES. IN THIS PROGRAM, FUNDS ARE RAISED AND DISTRIBUTED TO FOOD PROVIDER AGENCIES TO INCREASE THE QUALITY AND QUANTITY OF NUTRITIOUS FOOD TO FOOD-CHALLENGED NEIGHBORS IN CENTRAL OREGON. THESE AGENCIES USE THE FUNDS TO ENRICH THE CONTENTS OF FOOD BOXES OR SERVED MEALS TO NEIGHBORS IN THIS REGION. THE FOURTEEN AGENCIES SERVE OVER 200,000 MEALS EACH MONTH WITH MORE FRESH PRODUCE AND PROTEINS BECAUSE OF THE HPC'S CONTRIBUTIONS. THE NEED HAS BECOME MORE INTENSE BECAUSE OF ISSUES RELATED TO COVID.
