COMMUNITY SERVICE BLOCK GRANT PROVIDES EMERGENCY ASSISTANCE TO ELIGIBLE HOUSEHOLDS IN THE AREA OF NUTRITION, ENERGY, HOUSING, SUBSTANCE ABUSE, AND NON-CSS SUPPORT SERVICES.
ENERGY ASSSISTANCE GRANTS PROVIDE DIRECT MONETARY ASSISTANCE TO QAULIFYING HOUSEHOLDS IN AN EFFORT TO REDUCE OUTLAYS FOR UTILITY COSTS DURING THE WINTER MONTHS.
WEATHERIZATION GRANTS PROVIDE FUNDS FOR INSULATION, DOORS, WINDOWS, AND OTHER MATERIALS TO PREVENT INFILTRATION FOR THE PURPOSE OF REDUCING UTILITY BILLS FOR QUALIFIED HOUSEHOLDS.
THE EMERGENCY FOOD AND SHELTER PROGRAM TARGETS FAMILIES AND INDIVIDUALS, THE HOMELESS, AND THE ELDERLY, WHO ARE FACING ECONOMIC, NON-DISASTER, RELATED EMERGENCY CRISIS SITUATIONS. FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE IS PROVIDED TO PREVENT EVICTIONS/FORECLOSURES, UTILITY DISCONNECTION, AND THE PURCHASE OF TEMPORARY FOOD SUPPLIES. TO PROVIDE ASSISTANCE TO LOW INCOME INDIVIDUALS.
