THE ORGANIZATION WAS ESTABLISHED UNDER THE NATIONAL LABOR RELATIONS ACT, SEC. 302(C)(9) AND THE LABOR-MANAGEMENT COOPERATION ACT OF 1974 TO ADVANCE THE COLLECTIVELY-BARGAINED FINISHING INDUSTRIES THROUGH COMMUNICATION, TRUST, AND MUTUAL RESPECT BETWEEN THE INTERNATIONAL UNION OF PAINTERS AND ALLIED TRADES, AFL-CIO (IUPAT), THE FINISHING CONTRACTORS ASSOCIATION, AND THE SIGNATORY EMPLOYERS OF IUPAT. THE ORGANIZATION IS THE: (1) PRIMARY RESOURCE FOR THE LEADER EDUCATION, KNOWLEDGE EXCHANGE, AND NETWORKING THAT IMPROVES THE CAPABILITIES OF THE UNIONIZED FINISHING INDUTRY'S WORKFORCE. DEVELOPED AND DEPLOYED A MARKETING CAMPAIGN FOCUSED ON INCREASING THE NUMBER OF CONTRACTORS AND CRAFTWORKERS TAKING PART IN INDUSTRY CERTIFICATIONS AND CONTRACTOR QUALITY MANAGEMENT PROGRAMS DESIGNED TO INCREASE CONTRACTORS COMPETITIVENESS. DEVELOPED AN ONLINE PLATFORM TO DISTRIBUTE NEWLY CREATED BROCHURES AND OTHER MARKETING COLLATERAL.
