LWPC IS A WELL ESTABLISHED REGIONAL NONPROFIT ORGANIZATION PROVIDING SERVICES TO DISPLACED HOMEMAKERS AND WOMEN IN TRANSITION. THE MISSION OF THE AGENCY IS TO INCREASE THE EMOTIONAL AND ECONOMIC SELF-SUFFICIENCY OF WOMEN AND THEIR FAMILIES.

THE MINNESOTA FAMILY RESILIENCY PROGRAM GRANTS PROVIDE PRE-EMPLOYMENT AND PEER COUNSELING TO DISPLACED HOMEMAKERS WHO LIVE IN SOUTH CENTRAL MINNESOTA. SERVICES INCLUDE WORKSHOPS, INDIVIDUAL PEER COUNSELING, TESTING AND ASSESSMENTS, ADVOCACY, RESOURCES AND REFERRALS, AND DIRECT ASSISTANCE AS APPROPRIATE. LWPC SERVED 42 NEWLY ENROLLED AND 25 PREVIOUSLY ENROLLED DISPLACED HOMEMAKERS IN THIS PAST FISCAL YEAR
UNITED WAYS AND FOUNDATION GRANTS PROVIDE PRE-EMPLOYMENT AND PEER COUNSELING SERVICES TO WOMEN IN TRANSITION WHO LIVE IN SOUTH CENTRAL MINNESOTA. SERVICES INCLUDE WORKSHOPS, INDIVIDUAL PEER COUNSELING, TESTING AND ASSESSMENTS, ADVOCACY AND RESOURCES AND REFERRALS. TARGET POPULATIONS ARE LOW INCOME WOMEN, ABUSE SURVIVORS, SINGLE PARENTS AND WOMEN MOVING OFF OF PUBLIC ASSISTANCE TO SELF-SUFFICIENCY. THIS PAST FISCAL YEAR, LWPC SERVED 30 NEWLY ENROLLED AND 25 PREVIOUSLY ENROLLED WOMEN IN TRANSITION. THIS PROGRAM ALSO SERVED 118 CLIENTS THROUGH COLLABORATIVE PROGRAMMING THAT WERE NOT SPECIFICALLY ENROLLED IN THIS PROGRAM.
