IN 2023 THE SAGEBRUSH HABITAT CONSERVATION FUND (THE FUND) CONTINUED ITS EFFORTS TO RETIRE FEDERAL GRAZING PERMITS IN IDAHO AND UTAH WHERE SPECIFIC STATUTES AUTHORIZE THE BUREAU OF LAND MANAGEMENT, THE NATIONAL PARK SERVICE, THE FOREST SERVICE AND THE U.S. FISH AND WILDLIFE SERVICE TO PERMANENTLY RETIRE PUBLIC LANDS LIVESTOCK GRAZING ALLOTMENTS.IN NORTHERN NEVEDA THE FUND EXPANDED ITS EFFORTS TO CONSERVE AND RESTORE WILDLIFE HABITAT ON ITS VYA RANCH PROPERTY AND SUCCESSFULLY WORKED WITH THE OFFICE OF NEVADA SENATOR JACKY ROSEN TO ADD LANGUAGE IN THE PROPOSED TRUCKEE MEADOWS PUBLIC LANDS MANAGEMENT ACT FOR STATUTORY RETIREMENT OF THE FUND'S GRAZING PERMITS.
