CONSERVATION LAND AND EASEMENT ACQUISITION, ECOLOGICAL RESTORATION, & MONITORING - PLANNINGAND ACQUISITION OF EASEMENTS OR FEE LAND TO PERMANENTLY PROTECT CONSERVATION AND/ORRECREATIONAL VALUES OF SPECIFIC LAND PARCELS. PPLT ALSO ORCHESTRATES ECOLOGICAL RESTORATION EFFORTSON KEY PUBLIC AND PRIVATE LANDS IN CONJUNCTION WITH PRIVATE LANDOWNERS, PUBLIC LAND MANAGEMENTAGENCIES AND OTHER CONSERVATION GROUPS. DURING 2022, PPLT PERFORMED RESTORATION ACTIVITIES ON~600 ACRES OF PRIVATE LAND AND COMPLETED 4 CONSERVATION EASEMENTS IN 2 COUNTIES AND ALONG 4WATERWAYS.


MONTANA ASSOCIATION OF LAND TRUSTS IS A PROGRAM SPONSORED BY PPLT IN CONJUNCTION WITH OTHER MONTANA LAND TRUSTS TO SUPPORT LAND CONSERVATION ACTIVITY IN MONTANA AND EDUCATE THE PUBLIC IN THESE EFFORTS. MALT ACTIVITY INCLUDED ADVOCACY FOR MONTANA LAND TRUSTS AND EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS.


TRAILS AND PARKS PROGRAM - PLAN DEVELOPMENT, CONSTRUCTION AND MAINTENANCE. THE GROVE PARKWAS COMPLETED AND OPENED IN EAST HELENA. BARKING DOG TRAIL REROUTE COMPLETED ON USFS LANDS.PARK AND TRAIL MAINTENANCE CONTINUED IN HELENA'S SOUTH HILLS AND AT TENMILE CREEK PARK. OVERONE THOUSAND HOURS OF CONTRACT AND VOLUNTEER HOURS WERE RECORDED IN CONSTRUCTION ANDMAINTENANCE ACTIVITIES.
