Describe the Organization's Program Activity:
Part 3 - Line 4a
ASTORIA OFFERS A MEDICALLY BENEFICIAL EXPERIENCE OF SOAKING IN MINERAL-RICH HOT POOLS. IN 2021, AROUND 45,000 PEOPLE EXPERIENCED THE HOT SPRINGS. LOCAL ADMISSION RATES FOR THE HOT SPRINGS ARE SUBSIDIZED THROUGH PHILANTHROPIC SUPPORT. AS A WAY TO ENHANCE MENTAL AND PHYSICAL BENEFITS AT THE HOT SPRINGS, A SERIES OF WELLNESS CLASSES WERE OFFERED TO THE PUBLIC, INCLUDING MEDITATION, YOGA, AND MORE. IN ADDITION TO THE NORMAL SUBSIDIZED LOCAL RATE TO USE THE HOT SPRINGS, ASTORIA PARK CONSERVANCY'S ACCESS FUND ALLOWS US TO FURTHER ENSURE ACCESS TO OUR FACILITY FOR UNDERPRIVALEGED POPULATIONS. WE DO THIS THROUGH "TAKEOVER" EVENTS, DONATIONS TO ALIGNED ORGANIZATIONS, AND PASS GIVEAWAYS.
