DURING 2021 THE ASSOCIATION OF PERINATAL NETWORKS CONTINUED TO SUPPORT STATE-WIDE COLLABORATION AMONG THE PERINATAL NETWORKS IN NYS AND TO ENGAGE OTHERAGENCIES WHICH ARE PROVIDING MATERNAL/CHILD HEALTH COMMUNITY COLLABORATIVESERVICES THROUGH NYS CONTRACTS. QUARTERLY MEETINGS PROVIDE THE OPPORTUNITY FOR APN MEMBERS TO MEET WITH NYS DEPT OF HEALTH OFFICIALS, LEADERSHIP FROM OTHER STATEWIDE ORGANIZATIONS FOCUSED ON IMPROVING SERVICES FOR FAMILIES AND MATERNAL AND INFANT BIRTH AND HEALTH OUTCOMES, AND TO PROVIDE A FORUM FOR BEST PRACTICE SHARING AMONG THE NETWORKS AND THE AFFILIATE AGENCIES. APN CONTINUED OUR REVIEW OF NYS PROGRAMS RELATED TO MATERNAL AND CHILD HEALTHSERVICES AND WORKING WITH POLICY MAKERS TO INFORM THEM OF EMERGING ISSUES AND MAKERECOMMENDATIONS FOR SERVICES IMPROVEMENTS. WE ALSO CONTINUED TO PARTNER WITH THE NYS PERINATAL ASSOCIATION AND WAS, ONCE AGAIN, A PROUD SPONSOR OF NYSPAS 2020 ANNUAL CLINICAL CONFERENCE. APN HOSTED OUR ANNUAL SUMMIT IN OCTOBER 2021, FOCUSING THE DAY LONG PROGRAM ON REPRODUCTIVE HEALTH JUSTICE. THE SUMMIT, WHICH INCLUDED A NUMBER OF SESSIONS FOCUSED ON THE MANY FACETS OF REPRODUCTIVE HEALTH JUSTICE DREW ALMOST 100 COMMUNITY AND OTHER HEALTH PROFESSIONALS FROM ACROSS NYS.COINCIDING WITH THE 2021 FALL SUMMIT, WE PUBLISHED THE APN POSITION PAPER: MATERNAL HEALTH: THE CORNERSTONE OF PUBLIC HEALTH. THIS PAPER IS A CALL TO ACTION FOR ADDRESSING 4 ISSUES: PRECONCEPTION HEALTH CARE, REPRODUCTIVE JUSTICE, IMPLICIT BIAS IN HEALTH CARE, AND THE ROLE OF SOCIAL DETERMINANTS IN PERINATAL HEALTH.
