Describe the Organization's Program Activity:
Part 3
DURING THE CURRENT YEAR THE ASSOCIATION OF PERINATAL NETWORKS CONTINUED TO SUPPORT STATE-WIDE COLLABORATION AMONG THE PERINATAL NETWORKS IN NYS AND TO ENGAGE OTHER AGENCIES WHICH ARE PROVIDING MATERNAL/CHILD HEALTH COMMUNITY COLLABORATIVE SERVICES THROUGH NYS CONTRACTS. QUARTERLY MEETINGS PROVIDE THE OPPORTUNITY FOR APN MEMBERS TO MEET WITH NYS DEPT OF HEALTH OFFICIALS, LEADERSHIP FROM OTHER STATEWIDE ORGANIZATIONS FOCUSED ON IMPROVING SERVICES FOR FAMILIES AND MATERNAL AND INFANT BIRTH AND HEALTH OUTCOMES, AND TO PROVIDE A FORUM FOR BEST PRACTICE SHARING AMONG THE NETWORKS AND THE AFFILIATE AGENCIES. APN CONTINUED OUR REVIEW OF NYS PROGRAMS RELATED TO MATERNAL AND CHILD HEALTH SERVICES AND WORKING WITH POLICY MAKERS TO INFORM THEM OF EMERGING ISSUES AND MAKE RECOMMENDATIONS FOR SERVICES IMPROVEMENTS. WE ALSO CONTINUED TO PARTNER WITH THE NYS PERINATAL ASSOCIATION AND WAS, ONCE AGAIN, A PROUD SPONSOR OF NYSPAS 2022 ANNUAL CLINICAL CONFERENCE. APN HOSTED OUR ANNUAL SUMMIT IN OCTOBER 2022, FOCUSING THE DAY LONG PROGRAM ON PROMOTING CIVIC ENGAGEMENT BY CONSUMERS, THE DEVELOPMENT OF COMMUNITY ADVISORY BOARDS, AND THE POTENTIAL FOR ADVANCING THE ROLE OF COMMUNITY HEALTH WORKERS. THE SUMMIT DREW ALMOST 100 COMMUNITY AND OTHER HEALTH PROFESSIONALS FROM ACROSS NYS.
