HILO BAY BLAST 4TH OF JULY 2024. FUNDS WERE PROVIDED AND EXPENSED TO PARTIALLY COVER THE COST OF FIREWORKS DISPLAY.
FROM JULY 2023 THROUGH JUNE 2024, HILO HARBOR WELCOMED 113 SHIPS AND 334,966 PASSENGERS AND CREW. MUSIC & HULA WAS PERFORMED FOR 51 SHIPS JUL-DEC AND 21 SHIPS FROM APR-JUNE. OUR INFORMATION CENTER IN THE PIER TERMINAL BUILDING ASSISTED 22,056 PASSENGERS WHO WERE PROVIDED FREE TRANSPORTATION TO DOWNTOWN HILO ON VANS PROVIDED BY THE FARMERS MARKET AND ONE TOUR COMPANY. THOUSANDS OF OTHER PASSENGERS WERE ALSO ASSISTED AT THE INFORMATION CENTER BY OUR ALOHA AMBASSADORS, PROVIDING DIRECTIONS AND SUGGESTIONS FOR THINGS TO DO DURING THEIR DAY IN HILO.
HILO HULA TUESDAYS AT THE BANDSTAND. DURING THE FISCAL YEAR, THERE WERE 20 EVENTS AND 2,035 PEOPLE PARTICIPATED AS ENTERTAINERS/CULTURAL PRACTITIONERS OR AUDIENCE.
