OPERATES THE COMMUNITY CENTER, WHICH PROVIDES MEETING FACILITIES FOR THIS SMALL UNINCORPORATED VILLAGE ON THE SOUTHERN MENDOCINO COAST, WITH A TOTAL POPULATION OF APPROXIMATELY 5,000. THE COMMUNITY CENTER INCLUDES A STAGE, MEETING HALL AND KITCHEN, WHICH HOSTS OTHER NON-PROFIT ORGANIZATIONS, SUCH AS THE LIONS CLUB, MUSICAL AND THEATRICAL PRODUCTIONS BY LOCAL INDIVIDUALS AND GROUPS, AND A MEETING FACILITY FOR GOVERNMENTAL AGENCIES, SUCH AS GUALALA MUNICIPAL ADVISORY COUNCIL, ETC. THE HALL IS ALSO AVAILABLE FOR RENT AT A MODEST COST FOR INDIVIDUALS, TO HOLD WEDDINGS, MEMORIALS AND OTHER GATHERINGS.
OPERATES PAY'N TAKE, WHICH IS A COMMUNITY THRIFT MARKET, WITH REGULAR EVENTS THROUGHOUT THE YEAR. COMMUNITY MEMBERS PROVIDE THEIR PERSONAL PROPERTY DONATIONS, INCLUDING HOUSEHOLD ITEMS, CLOTHING, FURNITURE, ETC. (NO VEHICLES). THESE ITEMS ARE THEN CLEANED AND ORGANIZED BY LOCAL VOLUNTEERS, AND THEN MADE AVAILABLE FOR SALE AT A COMMUNITY MARKET SCHEDULED FOR EVERY FIRST SATURDAY EACH MONTH, PLUS OTHER SCHEDULED EVENTS.
