THE COMMISSION WORKS WITH LOCAL, REGIONAL AND NATIONAL CLUBS AND ORGANIZATIONS TO BRING AMATEUR ATHLETIC EVENTS TO THE TACOMA-PIERCE COUNTY REGION. THE REGION IS MARKETED AS A POSITIVE COMMUNITY TO HOST AN EVENT AND IS DESIGNED TO SUCCESSFULLY BID FOR EVENTS THAT WILL BRING IN TOURISM AND POSITIVE EXPOSURE OF THE REGION TO VISITORS. THESE EVENTS ARE DESIGNED TO DRAW ATHLETES AND SPECTATORS FROM ALL OVER THE COUNTRY.
