PACIFIC LUMBER INSPECTION BUREAU (PLIB) PROVIDES QUALITY CONTROL INSPECTION SERVICES FOR LUMBER AND OTHER LUMBER PRODUCTS IN ACCORDANCE WITH VARIOUS NORTH AMERICAN AND INTERNATIONAL PRODUCT STANDARDS. SERVICES INCLUDE LUMBER GRADE STAMPING, GRADE CERTIFICATES AND GRADER TRAINING AND CERTIFICATION AT LUMBER MANUFACTURING FACILITIES, QUALITY AUDITS AT GLULAM, CROSS LAMINATED TIMBERS, AND TRUSS MANUFACTURING FACILITIES AND INSPECTION AND QUALITY MARKING SERVICES AT ISPM 15 CERTIFIED WOOD PACKAGING FACILITIES. PLIB ALSO PROVIDES HEAT TREATING (HT) CERTIFICATION AND HT STAMPING SERVICES FOR SAWMILLS, DRY KILNS AND REMANUFACTURERS. SERVICES PROVIDED TO MEMBERS AND SUBSCRIBERS AS WELL AS NON-MEMBERS AND THE GENERAL PUBLIC AT COST. PLIB PROVIDES THESE SERVICES IN NORTH AMERICA AND EUROPE.PLIB IS ACCREDITED BY THE AMERICAN LUMBER STANDARDS COMMITTEE AND THE CANADIAN LUMBER STANDARDS ACCREDITATION BOARD AND OPERATES SOME PROGRAMS THROUGH AN MOU WITH USDA APHIS. PLIB PUBLISHES AND DISTRIBUTES THE "STANDARD NO. 17 GRADING RULES FOR WEST COAST LUMBER AND THE "EXPORT R LIST GRADING AND DRESSING RULES" FOR EXPORT LUMBER. PLIB OWNS THE TRADEMARKS, COPYRIGHTS AND TRADENAMES OF "WEST COAST LUMBER INSPECTION BUREAU (WCLIB) AND "AMERICAN INSTITUTE OF TIMBER CONSTRUCTION" (AITC).
