TO MARKET THIS REGION AS A DESTINATION FOR CONVENTIONS, TOUR GROUPS, AND THE INDIVIDUAL TRAVELER; TO PROVIDE SERVICES TO CONVENTION GROUPS, TOUR GROUPS, AND TOURISTS; TO DEVELOP AND IMPLEMENT MARKETING PROGRAMS DESIGNED TO INCREASE TRAVEL TO THE REGION FROM DOMESTIC AND INTERNATIONAL MARKETS AND PUBLISH MATERIALS THAT PROMOTE THE REGION.

CONVENTION SALES AND SERVICES PROMOTE THE CITY AND COUNTY AS THE BEST DESTINATION FOR CONVENTIONS, MEETINGS AND EXHIBITIONS. ITS GOAL IS TO ATTRACT THESE EVENTS TO THE WASHINGTON STATE CONVENTION CENTER, SEATTLE CENTER, STADIUM EXHIBITION CENTER AND OTHER MEETING PLACES AND HOTELS.


THE TOURISM PROGRAM DEVELOPS AND IMPLEMENTS A BROAD RANGE OF MARKETING PROGRAMS DESIGNED TO INCREASE INDIVIDUAL, CORPORATE, FAMILY AND GROUP TRAVEL TO SEATTLE, KING COUNTY, WASHINGTON STATE AND THE PACIFIC NORTHWEST FROM DOMESTIC AND INTERNATIONAL MARKETS. THIS ALSO INCLUDES VISITOR INFORMATION CENTERS WHICH ANSWER VISITOR QUERIES ABOUT THIS REGION BY PROVIDING OVER THE PHONE ANSWERS, PRINTED MATERIALS AND DROP-BY VISITOR CENTERS.


PROGRAM MEMBERSHIP SERVICES ATTRACTS AND RETAINS PRIVATE-SECTOR PARTICIPATION BY GIVING MEMBERS INFORMATIONAL SERVICES, WHICH INCLUDE PLANNED MEETINGS AND OPPORTUNITIES TO PROMOTE THEIR PRODUCTS AND SERVICES TO CONVENTIONS AND VISITORS.
