EVENTS: BY PROVIDING SEVERAL PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT AND EDUCATION SEMINARS SUCH AS: "MAKE IT MONDAY" LUNCHEONS, HELD EVERY MONDAY AND IS THE CITY'S NO.1 WEEKLY LUNCHEON, OFFERING CURRENT AND RELEVANT EDUCATIONAL PRESENTATIONS FROM A VARIETY OF SPEAKERS. MORE THAN 45 PROGRAMS ARE PROVIDED ANNUALLY WITH THE NUMBER OF ATTENDEES AVERAGING 35-100 PER WEEK. "CHAMBER ACADEMY" IS AN EDUCATIONAL SEMINAR HELD QUARTERLY, GEARED TOWARDS BUSINESS OWNERS, ENTREPRENEURS, AND YOUNG PROFESSIONALS, THE ACADEMY HOSTS COMMUNITY EXPERTS WHO PRESENT ON A VARIETY OF TOPICS ENCOURAGING ACTIVE ENGAGEMENT AND OPEN DISCUSSION.
MEMBERSHIP SERVICES: MEMBERSHIP WITH THE ANCHORAGE CHAMBER ENCOMPASSES THE ORGANIZATION'S MISSION STATEMENT BY PROVIDING ACCESS TO THE KEY CHANNELS OF CONNECTIVITY AND ADVOCACY. COMMITTEES: BY PROVIDING SEVERAL VENUES FOR RECOGNITION OF EXCELLENCE IN BUSINESS AND COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT OF ANCHORAGE BUSINESSES SUCH AS: GOLD PAN AWARDS, SINCE 1957 ANCHORAGE'S NO. 1 PREMIER BUSINESS RECOGNITION EVENT. AS ONE OF THE ORGANIZATIONS LONGEST RUNNING CIVIC PROGRAMS, FOR NEARLY 70 YEARS, GOLD PANS HAVE BEEN AWARDED TO THOSE THAT HAVE SHOWN BUSINESS AND ENTREPRENEURIAL EXCELLENCE WITH A LOYAL COMMITMENT TO ANCHORAGE THROUGH COMMUNITY SERVICE. ANCHORAGE ATHENA SOCIETY, A PROGRAM THAT WORKS YEAR ROUND TO ENCOURAGE THE POTENTIAL OF ALL WOMEN AS VALUED MEMBERS AND LEADERS OF THE BUSINESS COMMUNITY. THE SOCIETY HAS NEARLY 400 INDUCTEES WITH APPROXIMATELY 500 GUESTS ATTENDING THE LUNCHEON.
