MEMBERSHIP & EVENTS: TO PROMOTE REGIONAL BUSINESS THROUGH NETWORKING EVENTS AND PUBLICATIONS. TO FACILITATE DECISION-MAKING REGARDING REGIONAL INFRASTRUCTURE INVESTMENTS AND TO EDUCATE BUSINESS THROUGH TRAINING PROGRAMS.
GREATER GROWTH: GSI PROVIDES PROGRAMMING AND SUPPORTS THE SUCCESS OF BUSINESS THROUGH ALL PHASES OF DEVELOPMENT - SUPPORTING ENTREPRENEURS AND STARTUPS, HELPING CURRENT COMPANIES EXPAND, RETAINING COMPANIES IN THE REGION AND RECRUITING NEW ONES TO THE AREA. ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT IS ALSO SUPPORTED BY RECRUITING EFFORTS IN HIGH-GROWTH AND HIGH-POTENTIAL INDUSTRIES INCLUDING LIFE SCIENCES, AEROSPACE, AGRICULTURE, MANUFACTURING AND PROFESSIONAL SERVICES AND MARKET THE REGION AS A COMPETITIVE PLACE TO DO BUSINESS.
GREATER TALENT: CAREER CONNECT NORTHEAST IS THE BACKBONE TO PROVIDING CAREER-CONNECTED LEARNING AND STEM EXPERIENCES. PARTNERSHIPS ARE CREATED BETWEEN BUSINESSES AND EDUCATORS TO BUILD A WORKFORCE WITH THE SKILLS AND TALENT TO BE SUCCESSFUL. THIS INCLUDES PROGRAMS SUCH AS TEACHING THE TEACHERS, BUSINESS AFTERSCHOOL AND GREATER MINDS. THE SPOKANE STEM NETWORK ENGAGES STUDENTS WITH THE GOAL OF INCREASING THE NUMBER OF STUDENTS PURSUING STEM COMPETENCIES FOR THEIR FUTURE CAREERS. OUR GREATER MINDS INITIATIVE WORKS TO IMPROVE EDUCATION ATTAINMENT FOR ADULTS IN SPOKANE COUNTY, CONTRIBUTING TO THE COMMUNITY GOAL OF INCREASING THE PERCENTAGE OF ADULTS WITH DEGREES.
