MEMBERSHIP PROGRAMS: - MBAKS IS THE OLDEST AND LARGEST LOCAL HOME BUILDERS ASSOCIATION IN THE US. WE HAVE SERVED OUR MEMBERS FOR MORE THAN 110 YEARS. IN 2023, WE HAD 2,450 MEMBERS WITH 86% RETENTION. - CONTINUED OPERATION OF STATE LABOR AND INDUSTRIES RETROSPECTIVE RATING PROGRAM. SUCCESSFUL PROGRAM MANAGEMENT, WITH OVER $47M IN PREMIUMS AND $13.5M REFUNDED TO PARTICIPATING EMPLOYERS. - OVER 30 YEARS OF SPONSORSHIP OF MBAKS HEALTH INSURANCE TRUST, WHICH PROVIDES FULLY INSURED, AFFORDABLE HEALTH CARE COVERAGE TO OVER 24,000 PARTICIPANTS IN KING AND SNOHOMISH COUNTIES. - DEVELOPMENT OF THE FUTURE WORKFORCE: THE MBAKS EMERGING PROFESSIONALS PROGRAM WAS CREATED IN 2022 TO ADDRESS THE LOCAL INDUSTRY'S NEED FOR QUALIFIED TRADE PROFESSIONALS. THE INITIATIVE IS BASED ON THREE CORE PILLARS: PARTNERSHIP WITH LOCAL EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTIONS, INDUSTRY AND GOVERNMENT AWARENESS, AND MEANINGFUL ENGAGEMENT BETWEEN OUR MEMBERS AND STUDENTS CURRENTLY ENROLLED IN TRADE PROGRAMS. EDUCATION, MEMBER ENGAGEMENT: -PROVIDED OVER 350 EVENTS, COURSES AND MEETINGS COVERING TOPICS SUCH AS WORKPLACE SAFETY, CLAIMS MANAGEMENT, CPR, GREEN BUILDING, HEALTHY HOMES, OSHA, LEAD CERTIFICATION, ECONOMIC AND HOUSING TRENDS, HOUSING POLICY, LEGISLATIVE DEVELOPMENTS, DEVELOPER, BUILDER AND REMODELER ISSUES, SMALL BUSINESS TOPICS, MEMBER BENEFITS, AND HOUSING ADVOCACY.
ADVOCACY: - HOUSING ADVOCACY MEETINGS AND EVENTS HOSTED BY MBAKS GATHER OVER 1,500 ATTENDEES THROUGHOUT THE YEAR. - MBAKS TEAM ADVOCATES INDUSTRY ISSUES WITH OVER 300 INDIVIDUAL ELECTED OFFICIALS AND INTERVIEWED 30 INDIVIDUAL CANDIDATES FOR LOCAL OFFICE. - IN ODD YEARS, MBAKS HOSTS THE EVERGREEN CAMPAIGN INSTITUTE (ECI) IN COORDINATION WITH OTHER PARTNER ORGANIZATIONS TO HELP EDUCATE INDIVIDUALS ON CANDIDACY AND CAMPAIGN MANAGEMENT. - AIMS TO INCREASE COMMUNICATION AND AWARENESS FOR HOUSING ADVOCACY THROUGH SOCIAL MEDIA OUTREACH PROGRAM.
