TO BE THE VOICE OF THE JUNEAU BUSINESS COMMUNITY AND CHAMPION ISSUES OF IMPORTANCE. ANNUAL MEMBERSHIP FUNDRAISING DINNER, GOVERNORS FAMILY PICNIC, WEEKLY CHAMBER LUNCHES WITH PROGRAMS RELEVANT TO THE BUSINESS COMMUNITY TO ENSURE A HEALTHY ENVIRONMENT IN WHICH TO DO BUSINESS.

ALASA BUSINESS ROUNDTABLE- PROVIDES A WEEKLY FORUM FOR MEMBERS AND THE PUBLIC TO DISCUSS BUSINESS AND ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT ISSUES DURING THE LEGISLATIVE SESSION. DURING THE REMAINDER OF THE YEAR THE WEEKLY LUNCHEONS INFORM MEMBERS AS TO CURRENT ISSUES THAT IMPACT THE HEALTH OF THE LOCAL BUSINESS ECONOMY.
REGULAR MEETINGS WITH THE CITY ASSEMBLY, MAYOR AND CITY MANAGER ARE USED TO ADDRESS ISSUES PERTINENT TO THE LOCAL BUSINESS CLIMATE AND COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT. THIS INCLUDES GATHERING MEMBER ISSUES TO BEST SET PRIORITIES FOR LOCAL ISSUES. THIS SAME EFFORT INCLUDES CONSTANT CONTACT WITH THE ALASKA CHAMBER TO BEST REPRESENT MEMBERSHIP ON KEY ISSUES AT A STATE LEVEL.
ADMINISTERED A GRANT FOR COVID TESTING SUPPLIES USING A COMPANY CALLED KALICO. THIS PROGRAM GAVE COVID TESTING AND TRACKING TECHNOLOGIES TO LOCAL BUSINESSES WHICH ALLOWED THEM TO STAY OPEN SAFELY THROUGH THE PANDEMIC. ADMINISTERED A GRANT TO INCENTIVIZE PEOPLE TO GET VACCINATED DURING COVID. BY PARTNERING WITH CBJ WE SET UP VACCINATION CLINICS. WE PURCHASED GIFT CARDS FROM LOCAL BUSINESSES AND GAVE THEM TO PEOPLE WHO CAME TO OUR CLINICS TO BE VACCINATED. THIS PROGRAM HAD OVER 2000 INDIVIDUALS PARTICIPATE.
