CHRISTOPHER HOUSING (THE PROJECT) IS A WASHINGTON PRIVATE NONPROFIT CORPORATION, ORGANIZED IN 1997 FOR THE PURPOSE OF DEVELOPING AND OPERATING AN 8-UNIT SCATTERED SITE PROJECT LOCATED IN KIRKLAND, RENTON AND KENT, WASHINGTON. SOUND ACQUIRED CONTROL OF THE PROJECT FROM BUILDING CHANGES ON AUGUST 1, 2012. THE PROJECT WAS FORMED AND OPERATES UNDER SECTION 811 SUPPORTIVE HOUSING FOR PERSONS WITH DISABILITIES PROGRAM. THE U.S. DEPARTMENT OF HOUSING AND URBAN DEVELOPMENT (HUD) PROVIDES FUNDING TO DEVELOP AND SUBSIDIZE RENTAL HOUSING WITH THE AVAILABILITY OF SUPPORTIVE SERVICES FOR VERY LOW-INCOME ADULTS WITH DISABILITIES. HUD REGULATES SUCH PROJECTS AS TO CHANGE OR DISCONTINUATION OF USE, RENT CHARGES AND OPERATING METHODS.
