THE ASSOCIATION REPRESENTS THE INTERESTS OF MEMBERS CONSISTING OF ALASKA LOCAL EXCHANGE CARRIERS (LECS) IN PREPARING, FILING AND SUPPORTING ACCESS CHARGE TARIFFS; BILLING AND COLLECTION OF ACCESS CHARGE REVENUES; RESOLVING DISPUTES; DISTRIBUTING ACCESS CHARGE REVENUES TO INDIVIDUAL LEC'S; AND FACILITATING MONITORING BY FILING INFORMATION AND REPORTS WITH THE REGULATORY COMMISSION OF ALASKA. CURRENTLY 13 MEMBER ORGANIZATIONS ARE SERVED ALONG WITH AN ADDITIONAL 7 ORGANIZATIONS THAT CONTRACT WITH AECA FOR THESE SERVICES.
